German weaving design. Global standards.
Choosing Germany as our base is a deliberate strategic decision. We see ‘Made in Germany’ as a commitment to the highest manufacturing quality, social responsibility and sustainable business practices. At our high-tech manufacturing facility in Konradsreuth, we bring the entire value chain together under one roof. From trend analysis in the design studio through technical development to weaving, finishing and logistics, all our processes mesh seamlessly.
This physical proximity creates decisive competitive advantages: our designers coordinate directly with the textile engineers, enabling us to implement innovations agilely and fulfil complex customer requirements with precision. Thanks to short communication channels, we guarantee maximum efficiency and seamless quality control at every stage of production. Our regional roots thus form the stable foundation for setting international standards.
A location that creates value
Our home is Upper Franconia. This region boasts a history of textile manufacturing stretching back centuries. Knowledge of yarns, weaves and finishing techniques is deeply rooted in the collective memory here. It is no coincidence that Rohleder is based right here. We are proud to be a living part of this heritage and not only to preserve the textile tradition, but to carry it into the future using state-of-the-art technology.
In a globalised world where many companies are relocating their production for cost reasons, we are making a clear, unambiguous statement in favour of Konradsreuth. Our employees come from the immediate local area. Often, entire families have been working for us for generations, in some cases even from grandfather to granddaughter. This deep identification with the company and pride in the product is our most valuable asset.

Craftsmanship with integrity
It is here that we find the craftsmanship and the instinctive feel that make our high standards of quality possible in the first place. You can set up a loom anywhere in the world, but the experience of hearing whether it is running smoothly, or feeling whether the velour has the perfect texture – that is something we find here. The people in our region are down-to-earth, reliable and, at the same time, full of innovative spirit. A visit to us is always an encounter with this special attitude. It is a commitment to ‘Made in Germany’. For us, this is not an empty phrase, but a reality we live by every day.
Where quality is created
Why are we inviting you to visit us at all? Because we firmly believe that true quality has nothing to hide. On the contrary: we want you to understand and experience what makes an ‘Rohleder’ fabric so special, and how it can turn your project into something truly unique. Our workshop is no black box. When you visit, you’ll feel the vibration of the looms that set the rhythm of our business. You’ll see how thousands of colourful threads are woven into complex structures at breathtaking speed. Manufacturing everything under one roof not only ensures short production runs but also seamless quality control that is unrivalled in the industry.
Every metre is meticulously checked before it leaves the factory. Whether it is high-quality upholstery fabrics that will later feature in the collections of international design brands, or fine textiles that enhance your home as cushions: everything is manufactured and finished with the same passion and precision. This atmosphere of excellence is palpable and makes a visit to Konradsreuth an experience for all the senses.
