2. Excellent colour fastness
Another key aspect of high quality is lightfastness. For our Q2 fabrics, we use only yarn that has been dyed before weaving (pre-dyeing). However, the process alone is no guarantee of top quality. There are significant differences in the dyes used on the market; often, cheaper alternatives are used for cost reasons, which fade quickly.
We, on the other hand, are uncompromising in our use of the highest-quality dyes available on the market. The colour pigments are firmly locked into the fibre, guaranteeing long-lasting colour fastness. This means that even under intense sunlight in modern, light-filled living rooms or conservatories, the colours hardly fade at all. A deep blue remains blue, a fiery red does not lose its intensity. This is what sets our premium upholstery fabric apart from cheaper mass-produced goods.

Our Q2 fabric collection is the result of decades of research and development at our high-tech manufacturing facility. We do not rely on post-production finishing to simulate quality. The outstanding quality characteristics and care properties are inherent in Q2, meaning they are embedded deep within every single thread. This is the result of months of development cycles, the selection of the highest-quality raw materials, a special texturing of the yarns, and the use of excellent dyes. The construction is equally crucial.
Our weaving experts precisely adjust the weave to avoid excessively long floats (loose threads). Only in this way does our Q2-certified fabric become truly durable. The result is astonishing: a fabric made from high-performance polyester or polyacrylic, yet it feels like the finest natural fibre. We have eliminated the ‘plastic feel’ and replaced it with a soft, luxurious texture that you have to touch to believe. Such a high-quality upholstery fabric offers pure comfort.
